Simplecall Business Sponsors Inaugural think Tank Conference For the South
simplecall business sponsored the inaugural conference for a new regional think tank looking at the challenges facing the South of England, which was held at the University of Winchester Nov. 20th .
The conference, titled The New Localism: What Does It Offer The South?, was hosted by the University of Winchester, along with Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Cabinet Minister for Universities, Cities, and Science, and Lord Andrew Adonis, Shadow Minister for Infrastructure. Local politicians, businesses and academics were all present to take part in the discussion about localism, addressing the needs of the region.
The Southern Policy Centre announced major programmes of work on open data and innovation and the future of the South’s civil society. The Centre said it hopes for this to be the first of many cross-party forums to spur national discussions and serve as a publish proposals for creative solutions to strategic challenges facing the South of England.
